Anna PARISCH

Born in 1971 on the banks of the Volga, surrounded by the beauty of Orthodox art, with a degree in History, I have always been passionate about Art and painting. During the period 1997-1999, I had the opportunity to work in an exchange program between pastelists from Yaroslavl and Cuneo (Italy) helping them in the organization of exhibitions. In 1998, I had an incredible opportunity to paint in the open air with the great Russian master Edvard Vyrzhikovsky. This event, having become the defining element of this period, had triggered the desire to develop my style of painting.

After moving to France, then to Geneva several years ago, I live my passion by creating my works aimed at expressing my emotions in colours and shapes. I trained and progressed over time with numerous painters and artists in France and Switzerland and through different courses in art schools as ESAAA Annecy or Ecole des beaux-arts du Genevois and workshops as well as the Martenot method. Constantly searching for my own visual language, in each painting I am different but always authentic and faithful to the emotions experienced at the given moment, inspiring the subject.

Famous artists inspiring me: Andrey RUBLEV, W. TURNER, Zao WOU-KI, Toko SHINODA.

My inspirations: my family, travels, nature, orthodox art, minimalism.

My techniques: Chinese ink, watercolour, egg tempera, oil, acrylic, pastels, cyanotypes, monotypes, mix medias. My special passion are the pigments. I try to found a specific pigments during my travels, such in Amsterdam, Florence or Yucatan.
